Vintage Telephone Table

Well now that we have gotten the introductions out of the way, let’s move on to our first project!

Today we have a before and after on a vintage telephone table that I completed for my business, Kelly Sherman Design.  (It is available to purchase here.)

These tables were in every household in the middle of the last century. Since telephones had chords back then, you couldn’t walk around the house while talking.  These tables gave you a place to set the phone and somewhere to sit while chatting.  There is even a shelf below for the phonebook.  They thought of everything!

Here is the before:

When I started to pull the vinyl upholstery off this was inside.  So gross.

Ewwwww!

UPDATE:   The telephone table has been sold!!  Yeah!!!

I have the exact telephone table that was my grandmothers. I would love to know the value. If you cannot give me the information maybe you can direct me to someone that can. Thank you.

Hi! I sold this many years ago at this point. I’m not sure of the value as an antique since I refinished it
