I am so excited to tell you that I am going to be a vendor at the Highlands Festival at Waterloo Village<\/a> in Allamuchy, NJ on September 19th and 20th!!<\/p>\n

I was first told about the festival when I met the coordinator at a volunteer dinner for the Habitat for Humanity luncheon. \u00a0She had asked about my business and once I told her how eco I try to be, she thought I would be perfect for the festival. \u00a0I was a little gun shy on craft shows since my last two weren’t great (1 – rained out no refund & 2 – I made nothing) so I told her I would think about it.<\/p>\n

I went home and started my crazy research thing. \u00a0Turns out this festival looks pretty awesome. \u00a0It’s a two day gig with music all day both days, local food, local wine and beer (score!) and the whole idea is to spread awareness of the NJ watershed and how we can protect it.<\/p>\n

I know, I know. \u00a0You are already thinking off all the crazy tied dyed shirts and hippies that will be in attendance and you are rolling your eyes. \u00a0The thing is, it’s not just crazy hippies who care about our drinking water so I am very sure there will be a lot of different people there. \u00a0Lots of people who think local food and beer is a great idea while they rock out to some music. \u00a0So get over the hippie aversion and come visit. \u00a0Oh, but make sure you bring your reusable water bottle. \u00a0Free water is available but they aren’t selling any in plastic bottles. (One of my favorite parts – putting their money where their mouth is.)<\/p>\n

There will be a Craft and Free Trade Marketplace where I will have an awesome booth that everyone can visit and buy tons of stuff. \u00a0I have been working on a ton of stuff to bring including lots of furniture, flour sack produce bags, reusable wine gift bags, wood signs, and a few new products I am trying out. \u00a0Over the next couple of weeks I will have some sneak peaks of what I will be bringing.<\/p>\n

At this point I am just trying to keep organized and get something done everyday. \u00a0I am using the same strategy as with the Habitat Luncheon – a piece of paper with a hand drawn calendar and a to do list. \u00a0Funny thing is I have tried a few different apps to have the same thing digitally but I haven’t found a way to make it work. \u00a0One day.<\/p>\n
