So a little while ago I told you about a nightstand makeover using cobalt blue paint that was for sale in my Etsy shop. It was sold soon after. The new owner then asked if I would be interested in finding another similar nightstand and painting it bright green. Well, I thought, you have come to the right place. I love painting things bright green. Opie is lucky he is still brown and white.
So I set out to look for another nightstand which was harder than I thought it would be. As luck would have it, one night I walked into an event in town and a friend tells me out of the blue that she has a nightstand just like the one I just sold. Perfect! I asked her if she will sell it and she agrees. After I check with the buyer that this is what she is looking for, I set off and start the makeover. Here it is before (but apparently after I took off the hardware):
After some Safecoat primer, I applied many coats of Safecoat semigloss paint in Field green. We were experiencing what might be considered 300% humidity at that point and it made the paint take forever to dry. It took a little longer but we got there. I then added the hardware to match the hardware on the blue nightstand.
